Boral® Slip Resistant Pavers
Slip Resistance
Boral Clay Pavers exceed the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) recommendations for slip resistance.
The OSHA recommend walking surfaces have a ‘static coefficient of friction’ of at least 0.5 in dry conditions. The higher the coefficient – the greater the slip resistance.
The ADA Standards for Accessible Design recommend at least 0.5 for accessible routes and 0.8 for ramps.
Boral clay pavers have a static coefficient of friction of 1.0 in both wet and dry conditions. (Test results determined by testing as per ASTM Standard C1028).
